DR. BRIAN MORAN RECOGNIZED AS AARP ILLINOIS 50@50+ AWARD RECIPIENT

Dr. Brian Moran, Medical Director of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago, has been recognized as a recipient of AARP Illinois’ first-ever 50@50+ Award. He is the only medical physician on this year’s list.

“Individuals ages 50 and older make tremendous

contributions to their communities. But these trailblazers’

efforts often go unnoticed and unrecognized,” said AARP

Illinois State President Rosanna Marquez. “That is why AARP

Illinois and Crain have launched 50@50+ - to honor those great Illinois disruptors who think outside the box, and go the extra mile to help make life better for all.” Dr. Moran is an honoree in the Disruptor category, exemplifying individuals who “show us how to embrace opportunity and change the way society looks at getting older,” according to an AARP Illinois press release.

The nomination letter wrote, “Over 30 years of practice, helping one man at a time, Dr. Moran’s small victories have added up to improving men’s lives across the Midwest. Men walk away from Dr. Moran’s educational programs less worried and confused about prostate cancer prevention. With Dr. Moran’s guidance, men make confident decisions for their own treatment. Twenty years and 20,000 men later, it is sufficient to say that Dr.

Moran’s research and outreach has saved lives.”

Along with 49 amazing Illinoisans, Dr. Moran will be recognized in the November 6th issue of Crain’s Chicago Business and at a

recognition event on November 7th.
